IGI Kabupaten Sintang kembali menghadirkan kegiatan peningkatan kompetensi guru melalui Workshop berbasis IT yang dilaksanakan pada 7-8 September 2019 di Aula dinas Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Kab. SIntang. Kegiatan Workshop yang diikuti 40 peserta mulai jenjang SD, SMP, dan SMA tersebut dibimbing langsung oleh Sabar Darono Hadi Pranowo, S.Pd salah satu guru berprestasi yang bertugas di SMAN 1 Ketungau Hulu.
Workshop dibuka oleh Kabid Pembinaan Sekolah Dasar Disdikbud Kab. Sintang, Dra. Magdalena Ukis, M.Pd. Dalam Sambutanya beliau mengharapkan para guru senantiasa meningkatkan kompetensi diri dalam menghadapi perkembangan zaman yang menuntut guru mampu menguasai dan memanfaatkan teknologi dalam pembelajaran. Selain itu beliau juga sangat mengapresiasi guru-guru yang berkorban waktu, tenaga dan mau menyisihkan tunjangan profesi yang didapat untuk kegiatan pengembangan diri.
Antusias guru Kab. Sintang dalam mengikuti Workshop ini sangat tinggi dimana seperti yang disampaikan oleh Ketua Panitia, Ahmad Satim, S.Sos kurang dari 1 minggu kuota peserta sudah terpenuhi “Kita sengaja membatasi jumlah peserta agar produk aplikasi pembelajaran berbasis Android yang dihasilkan pada Workshop bisa maksimal, dan alhamdulillah kurang dari 1 minggu pendaftaran sudah kami tutup”, pungkasnya.
Ketua IGI Kab. Sintang Nurlyanto, S.Pd dalam dalam sambutannya berharap guru-guru anggota IGI terus mengedepankan motto IGI Sharing and Growing Together dalam meningkatkan kompetensi diri. “Setelah mengikuti pelatihan diharapkan rekan-rekan guru mau berbagi ilmunya minimal kepada rekan satu sekolahya, karena semakin banyak berbagi maka semakin kuat dan berkembang ilmu yang telah didapat”. Selain itu, ia menyampaikan bahwa IGI akan berkomitmen menyelenggarakan kegiatan berkualitas bagi guru-guru. “Kita berusaha untuk selalu menggelar Workshop yang benar-benar berkualitas dan ada produk yang dihasilkan, sehingga peserta tidak sekedar datang dan pulang tanpa hasil”, tambahnya.
